Steve Roth is principal and founder of OutThink Partners, an independent communications and marketing agency specializing in integrated, strategic solutions, with a focus on the travel and tourism industries and the gay and lesbian market.

Roth has over a dozen years experience in public relations, marketing, corporate communications, media relations, issues management, experiential marketing, event production and LGBT consumer marketing, including more than 10 years experience in the travel industry.

He designed and produced the overall guest experience on the cruise and resort vacations of Atlantis Events, the world’s largest company specializing in all-gay vacations. He also built and implemented Atlantis’ first comprehensive external communications program, and has spearheaded public relations and media relations activities for RSVP Vacations, the original gay vacation company.

Roth has developed, managed and contributed to major marketing and communications campaigns for a range of significant global corporations and brands, including United Airlines, Star Alliance, All Nippon Airways and Clarion Corporation. He led the communication efforts for United Airlines’ highly successful and historic launch of commercial air service to Vietnam in 2004.

As an account supervisor at Fleishman-Hillard, the world’s largest public relations agency, Roth managed programs and initiatives for accounts and brands as diverse as United Airlines, Mitsubishi Motors, Sony PlayStation and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Roth has also led media relations activities in Southern California for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, the nation’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting the ban on gays in the military.

Roth brings a unique and diverse perspective to all his work, having lived in Mexico, Spain and Japan, in addition to all four mainland U.S. time zones. A graduate of the University of Chicago in Latin American Studies, he speaks Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese, and is pleased to have called Los Angeles home for the last 11 years.
